Happy New Year!

Couple of things:
- My Advent Calendar idea didn't work. I am still extremely bitter. Someone called me "disenfranchised", and I think that's pretty accurate (not to mention an ender-ender word in Scrabble). Hopefully, having Jake up in Utah again will help with this.

- XBOX just landed a major blow against my Apple TV with the addition of streaming Netflix to the XBOX Live menu. Boxee on ATV is a big step, but I need to figure out how to use it better to make it the go-to for my entertainment needs.

- New Years is nonsense. Here is a numerical value of how much my life changed at midnight: 0.

- I'm nerding out on my car again. This is a problem, because I want to spend money on it, but it's also a blessing, because I will start changing my own oil.

- Hime's video of the Days Inn pool made me cry.

- DMAC's visit was awesome. We had a killer Brighton session, talked shop for hours and got in to a mini YouTube war in my basement.

-I'm toying with the idea of switching to Tumblr. Check it. For now I'm going to keep it supplemental, think of it as an extra stop on your way to better websites.

-Dustin and Brock are going to China next week, and I really wish I was going with them. Although, it probably sounds like a lot more fun than it would actually be, like being given 50 Hostess Cupcakes to eat in one sitting. The first 10 are awesome, the rest: poison. No, it probably would be super rad.

Perfectly Built.

One of the reasons for my spiral in to madness, is the length of time since me and the boys have "kicked it". It wasn't always like this. The "Binary Days", as I'll refer to them, were the heady days of going to Brock's skatepark with he and Seth, skating, talking shit, filming, XBOX, watching Brock commit to projects he had no business being involved in, etc. This was one of those projects. As freestyle as it comes, Seth and he built a FULL LOOP for a motorcycle with NO PLANS OR PLANNING. Just jumped in head first. I saw it in the "sorta middle" of the construction process. It looked sketchy as hell. No problem, they assured me, it would be rock-solid by tomorrow. Little did I know, all that meant was they would be stabilizing it WITH rocks. It was built for a motocross movie, so there was plenty of coverage of the motorcycle going up and around, but Seth (the genius and professional that he is), knew that's not where the show was going to be. So he turned his lens to Brock, and produced one of the funniest two minutes of film ever. I dare you to watch this 5 times and not be screaming, "You're not my boss! I'm my own boss!" to everyone you see by the end of the day.

You Know How I Know?

Because I seen you on the internet.
