Here are some pics of the Nike SB (probably stands for snowboarding) 2010 boots. I don't know why I'm posting these, other than I'm drunk, and I thought it might get me some search engine hits. The Seth Huot was there. Killing it. We haven't partied together at an industry event since the Happy Hour premiere. Anybody stealing the pics, do a favor and make with the link credit. One of the reasons for my spiral in to madness, is the length of time since me and the boys have "kicked it". It wasn't always like this. The "Binary Days", as I'll refer to them, were the heady days of going to Brock's skatepark with he and Seth, skating, talking shit, filming, XBOX, watching Brock commit to projects he had no business being involved in, etc. This was one of those projects. As freestyle as it comes, Seth and he built a FULL LOOP for a motorcycle with NO PLANS OR PLANNING. Just jumped in head first. I saw it in the "sorta middle" of the construction process. It looked sketchy as hell. No problem, they assured me, it would be rock-solid by tomorrow. Little did I know, all that meant was they would be stabilizing it WITH rocks. It was built for a motocross movie, so there was plenty of coverage of the motorcycle going up and around, but Seth (the genius and professional that he is), knew that's not where the show was going to be. So he turned his lens to Brock, and produced one of the funniest two minutes of film ever. I dare you to watch this 5 times and not be screaming, "You're not my boss! I'm my own boss!" to everyone you see by the end of the day.
We often joke with Seth that he is a "Summer Friend", due to the fact that he disappears on us from about October to May. I sometimes get bummed, especially after a good day at Brighton, that he isn't around more in the winter. Then I see his video part, and realize he's got bigger fish to fry than the ten foot, cat track drops that we've been hitting for almost 15 years now. Can't wait to see how this video turns out, pretty much the Ocean's 11 of Snowboard vids, in terms of casting.
