Sure, the guys at Enron were douchebags, and were easy to hate because they bought stuff like $10,000 umbrellas. But, it's hard to feel the same way about Broadcom co-founder Henry T. Nicholas III (above). In spite of his two first names, this dude's largesse from White Collar Crime was on some next level shit. Check the deets:
"The charges threaten to ground a high-flying lifestyle that prosecutors say featured the former CEO jetting around the world in his two private planes, building a secret lair under his house and hiring strippers to party at a private warehouse stocked with cocaine, methamphetamine and ecstasy."
Bonus points for building something that gets classified as a "lair", but the hits keep coming:
"In 2001, Nicholas smoked so much marijuana during a flight on a private jet between Orange County and Las Vegas that the pilot had to put on an oxygen mask, the indictment states."
At my last tally, the flight time from Orange County to Vegas is a lengthy hour and ten minutes, so to hot box a G4 to the point that the pilot has to go to a secondary oxygen supply almost takes Cyprus and Snoop on a mission to accomplish.
"Nicholas served as CEO and president from Broadcom's inception until he resigned in 2003. At the time, he said he stepped down to try to repair his relationship with his wife."
Oh, to be a fly on the wall in those marriage counseling sessions. "Now Henry, don't you see it alienates your wife when you keep your hobbies like dungeon sex and habitual narcotics abuse to yourself?" You can read the rest here, I'll be busy working on getting my Series 7.
